This month I've been focusing on the art of listening. Finding that space in the day, in our practice, to listen. Striving to have an awareness of not only our surrounding and the immediate sounds but also a deeper sense of listening to the inner life.
Sometimes my inner voice is loud. So loud. It might be my inner critic, an inner monologue, or that voice that reminds me to keep doing all the things. And sometimes it is hard to get her to shut the heck up. When I find myself in that space, I like to turn to music to help me slip into that calmer space where those nagging thoughts drop away and I can truly listen.
