A yoga class designed to offer complete, intentional rest. Restorative yoga is a passive practice, supported by cushions and blankets and is appropriate for all levels, abilities, and accessibility. Please have pillows, bolsters, or cushions handy, as well as 2-3 blankets or large towels.
Mindful Moon
Mondays 5:45-7:00pm EST
A yoga class for women in all stages of life. Women’s bodies experience significant transitions throughout all cycles of our lives. Sometimes these transformations challenge our relationships with, and acceptance of our bodies. By working with mindful movement focusing on joint releasing, strengthening, and building endurance, we’ll bolster those relationships. Themes in this class are centered around the various roles women play and challenges we face. Whether you are looking to conceive, are menstruating, in your second or third trimester, postpartum, approaching or beyond menopause, there are ways we can refine our practice and awareness to support our womanhood.
Yin Yang Yoga
Tuesdays 7:30-8:30pm EST
Yin Yang is a blended class channeling both dynamic yang, and subtle yin energies. Often described as two side of the same mountain, the sunny side representing yang, and the shaded side yin. One cannot exist without the other. Class will open with dynamic flow including sun salutations to warm the body, with the second half of the class dedicated to static yin postures held for 3-5 minutes to promote release, deep tissue stretch and healthy flow of energy.
Compassionate Movement and Yoga Nidra
Thursdays 7:00-8:00pm EST
Moving quickly through life, we are often unaware of the chronic tension we build in our joints and muscles. Opening this class with thirty minutes of compassionate, subtle, somatic movement, we’ll approach our practice with inquiry and lay the foundation for deeper release. The second half of class will be devoted to Yoga Nidra, a guided meditation designed to calm the nervous system and reduce stress by welcoming a state of consciousness between sleep and wakefulness. All levels and accessible, this class is appropriate for new and experienced yogis alike.
